Train and Row with Team GB Olympians
A unique opportunity for you, or a sports’ mad loved one, to row alongside a GB Olympian and meet a Team GB gold medallist.
WHAT YOU GET
You will meet at a boat club in Henley where you will be welcomed by the attending GB gold medallist, who will answer any questions and introduce you to life as an elite rower, giving a glimpse of what it takes to win Olympic Gold.
Other GB Rowers will then provide initial coaching on the rowing machines, giving advice on technique, before you move to the boat shed to familiarise yourself with the boat itself. Quadruple sculls will take to the water with an Olympian in each boat for a short training session. Additional guests are welcome to watch proceedings throughout the day and to attend the Q and A and photo session with the Olympians and Gold Medallist.
Previous gold medallists have included Andy Triggs Hodge, Alex Gregory, Matt Gottrel, Matt Langridge and Sophie Hoskings. The rowing Olympians will be drawn from Alan Campbell, Steve Rowbotham, James Foad, Polly Swann, Tom Solesbury, Sam Townsend, Natasha Page, Jess Eddie and Vicky Thornley.
